Ogo Ono-Loa Hawaii
Ogo Ono-Loa Hawaii (5-1-4 Isomura Bldg. 5F, Akasaka, Tokyo) – located in a part of Tokyo where hostess bars tend to predominate, this is a restaurant launched some years ago by a Hawaiian native. Given the fascination that some Japanese have had of Hawaii, it’s perhaps expected that such a restaurant would eventually find its way to Tokyo.
Items served here include Loco Moco Bowl (hamburger patty on bowl of rice, topped with over easy egg & gravy), Kalua Pig Plate (traditional shredded smoked pork, seasoned with Hawaiian salt), Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl, Chicken & Pork Guisantes Stew (chicken, pork & mixed vegetables, stewed in garlic & tomato base stock), and Portuguese sausage fried rice. Along with the food, there are occasional appearances of Hawaiian singers performing live here. Check Ogo’s website for details: https://www.ogohawaii.net/en/
